Honestly, Kanna would be the most logical of the DOAXVV to add. They don’t really have to explain why an oni knows how to fight. Haha.

I am hoping it’s either Kanna, Sayuri, or Tamaki. the others in that list are.... meh... I’m actually glad it’s not Fiona because why would a ballroom dancer/princess complex girl need to fight?

They could make a reason for her to fight tbh like how Lili in tekken is a fighter but virtually all of her attacks are dance moves are traditional ballerina/Ballroom dance moves that wouldnt really work in an actual fight(at least not as far as I know since I think I could make her style work in a fight tbh).

Marie also has no real reason to fight and her style besides the few systema holds and tactics she uses are pretty useless in a real fight and she has no true reason to fight either but iirc she lost all her fights against actual fighters in the story mode who were actually trying to beat her like Bayman, idk if Ayane beat her tho

I dofeel like it’s still likely that they would introduce a brand new character and simultaneously add her to both games. It might help them accrue more money in the cash grab that is DOAXVV.
I mean a ballroom dancer isn’t out of place when Helena is a Opera singer and CEO, Marie being a maid and Nico being a scientist. All DOA characters technically could be fighters. Personally I hope Tammi or Nagisa are making it into the game since they’re my favourites, but I don’t mind any of these 5. After that hint I doubt it’s a new girl tbh.

Why can't we get George Martin, the Destroyer of Passion?

all of these characters have viable reasons to be fighters that have been explained through the story, specifically Helena. Helena is the daughter of the one who created the DOA tournament, and essentially MIST. She witnessed her mother being murdered in front of her when it was supposed to be her. She has more than enough reasons to learn to fight. Marie Rose is the “devious maid”, so she is really supposed to be Helena’s body guard more than an actual servant. Plus I am sure she is supposed to have ulterior motives that part of this “devious” maid persona. NiCo is the lead scientist in MIST and she brought back Raidou, so yeah, she needs to know how to fight.

Fiona has no reason to based off what we know of her and we already know that no story explaining why she all of a sudden knows how to fight will be added to the game, so IMO, she would be a lame edition. I also feel like many of the VV would be lame editions, they’re either aesthetically boring, boring in personality, or both (Nagisa I am looking at you).

Thats why I would pick Kanna, Tamaki, or Sayuri. They either could have a purpose, would bring a fun/different personality to the game, and/or be more aesthetically interesting when mixed with the current DOA6 cast. I also feel like these are the girls that they actually put the most effort into making in VV. Kanna isn’t human, Tamaki was the first to not really share a body type with the other girls (plus her hair is bad ass), and Sayuri is so much prettier than much of the cast in VV that she has to have a different face model. The other girls don’t feel as inventive.

You're saying Eliot and Hitomi have fun personalities? They tend to show up in humorous situations but I hardly would say their personalities are "fun" (though I like to imagine the girls having fun with him for other reasons ;) ).

Fine I'll bite on Eliot not having a fun personality, though I still disagree, and think Eliot's seriousness is more of a front. Hitomi is a lot of fun. Just look at the way she makes breakfast in the morning.

I think if any series is missing fun personalities it's Mortal Kombat.

Tbf MK is mostly edgy shit so it's understandable. The "funny" characters are either disgusting (Bo Rai Cho) or kinda cringe (Johnny, even tho I love him lmao).

MK had fun personas in MKX especially with the dialogue between characters but I feel MK11 toned that down to make it more serious tbh. I preferred MK pre NRS era when the fatalities were funny and over the top and actually made you laugh like when Sonya made you vomit and then she slowly jumped on your head to make it explode, or when characters had that one punch attack that made you cough up blood xD

There are two characters called Hitomi. The first is the serious and committed martial artist and tomboy we see in DOA3, the other one is the goofy girl we've seen since who only happens to also be a fighter alongside being a cabbage enthusiast. But that's okay. As for Eliot, he's certainly not funny himself, he's a straight man in the comedy, getting roared at by Hitomi and getting MILK slammed down at him by Christie.

It's like they're playing up the Perfect Strangers / Kenan and Kel dynamic with him and Brad Wong. He's the serious but occasionally hypocritical guy, and the latter is obviously the laid-back but aloof best friend / close relative. And Eliot's character development is all the better for it.

In addition to 'balance' changes (who lies if they're just lying again lol), it also says updates to 柔体物理演算, 'soft body physics'. Presumably it's changes to jiggle physics... lol.
