Most Americans are more receptive to the idea of a minor handling a firearm than being sexualized. I would think that concerns over Marie having a gun would be tied to it not fitting with her character/personality rather than her merely being underage. But since all the fetish packs are pretty out of character anyway, I'm not sure what the particular significance of Marie is, if any.

I don't visit Twitter. I'm only seeing what you relay. You said that "Some of them are complaining about Marie Rose having a holstered gun," implying multiple people voicing this concern. You did not mention any of said user's subsequent responses where he/she allegedly stated why he/she found it offensive. That said, from what you have relayed, it sounds like that person is possibly trolling. But people have been offended by much less, and it is possible that some of the other people you mentioned who expressed the same sentiment are not merely trolling. This is the explanation I was looking for, as none of it is "the obvious" to someone who is not looking at the Twitter feed.
