Hitomi is basically DOAs Sakura, both use the same Karate style as their training partner, both look up to their training partner, the only main difference is Hitomi is less of a tomboy these days and she trained Ein where Ryu trains Sakura.

I'd personally put Karin as Helena since they're the blonde Aristocrats of their series

I think that Hitomi is closer to Makoto than Sakura...

And is a common misconception, but shotos in Street Figther are not karate fighters at all either.

No. Makoto isn't girly at all... She doesn't suit hitomi at all, any DOA girl for that matter, probably Rachel but that wouldn't fit her

Knowing TN they'd give MR Karin and honoka sakura

Exact same fighting style, same default costume. Yeah, Hitomi is girly on normal ocasions, but she is way closer to makoto than she is to sakura, that was my point, Sakura doesn't fight karate, she never uses a Gi, Sakura also isn't girly at all.

She doesn't have to use the same style to qualify, cosplay is cosplay. And Sakura does have a girly streak, she's a cute schoolgirl and has shown to be quite feminine, in fact one of her DLC in SSF4 was a girly flower print dress, so....>.> And it's a cosplay they don't have to be exactly alike

Except that she isn't a schoolgirl, she is actually 21 years old on the SFIV period. She wears that schoolgirl outfit because it has sentimental value to her, it is basically her training gear, that is enough to put that she doesn't care about how she looks like.

But, if you're going on the dlc tangent, Blanka has a dlc costume that is basically an exclusive female dressing for Carnival here in brazil, Elena has a japanese schoolgirl costume and she wasn't studying in japan in the SFIV period, so you see how using alt costumes as argument is not valid in SF's case.

Or we could just skip the whole SF crossover pack idea which will no doubt limit the cast to cater for a certain crowd when they can just make their own pack where "everyone" can get one.

Well, as always there aren't perfect matches when you do a costume crossover fest because all characters are uniques. One can take in consideration physical attributes, like hair or age, but also personality or fighting style. I said Leinfang as ChunLi because both are Kungfu fighters and chinese. But it could be Kasumi too since she is the main character in DOA and ChunLi is the main female fighter in SF. The same goes for the rest.

Helena and Karin are a good match indeed, but Helena looks much more mature than Karin, who looks quite young, and since I paired Leifang with ChunLi, Karin seemed to me a good option for Kasumi. Kasumi is not rich but don't forget she is kinda of a princess of her ninja clan. Also I thought Rose needs someone with style and class, and some age.. So Helena could fit nicely with Rose. But hey, whatever. I really don't care to be honest who cosplays who xD I just think a SF pack could be cool, and also I would like to have Hayabusa as Ryu

I was kidding around with the whole idea. I stopped buying costumes ages ago anyway when they started limiting characters. However I don't think Capcom will provide those packs. There's still a bit of not-so-well communication between Koei and Capcom when Capcom tried to sue them awhile back.

This may not affect a portion of that department or maybe now it's different, but I don't think there's any hope to that one. I've seen tweets of people showing costume ideas and even mods to where Capcom would just go "Please do not tag us with these images or this company." or whatever. I don't think tossing a bag full of money would make them toss in SF costumes pack from them.

Or you know, they could just save the trouble of not dealing with Cashcom and just have TN make their own costumes.

Yeah, probably it won't happen. But having crossover stuff with GG, BB, KOF, VF, Aquaplus... one misses SF or even Tekken.

Tekken is possible. Harada did say he's willing to do business with TN in the future when he read Tom's article, but it's pretty vague and it sounds like it's not anytime soon. I'd ignore that one. Maybe DOA6 related, who knows.

If it was anything like that it'd be cool to have Hayabusa in Tekken 7 especially since Tekkens Wesley Snipes Hayabusa got replaced.

But yeah Tekken stuff for DOA probably wouldn't happen anytime soon.

I thought the fact that the next three packs have 17 characters pointed towards them not being collabs? I hope they aren't anyway. It's cool in some ways but I'd like to see more original outfits. whether that's a casual, legacy, design pack whatever I'd just like to see it.

Also have they said anything about a festival this year? Last years was cool with the reveals and the cosplay etc.

Yeah 16 means likely a collaboration, 17 no because that includes Naotora who's a guest but TN has more freedom with her so they include her. Alpha, Pai, and Sarah are automatically not on them as well as Mai who hasn't got anything since her release.

Male characters, VF and Mai players will have to wait for Halloween to have a new costume for our character. I'm just crossing my fingers for Mai getting something decent (but seeing what Rachel and other characters get in Halloween my hopes are really low).

I'm surprised they never picked your Rachel design for any of the Halloween design contests, Wasn't that for the first ever contest? I'm guessing you didn't like Rachel's last design from it then I guess? I think it would be cool If they did a contest for the launch of doa6 to get outfits in, Either that or considering how many they already have they might just use some for default outfits? I wish they'd do more general design competitions as well as Halloween ones since my designs tend to be more general than really Halloweenish.

actual outfit looks great but holy CRAP that tail is hideous. It actually looks like its straight out of a ps1 game, nothing but pixels. like you can't even tell that it's supposed to be a squirrel tail. It looks more like a pile of dead leaves.

Why do the DOA guys suck so bad at fur? They need to go ask pointers from the Soul Calibur/Tekken guys on that.

Like seriously why is it multiple layers like a scaled lizards tail? It should have just been a solid piece.

the ears are equally bad.


Still love the actual costume though.
