I could see them adding the leaders of the SK NW teams too (especially since those like Souji, Leo, Yuuyaki, Tsubaki, Tsubame, ect were high on the popularity poll)

Ooh, look at Daidouji!♡ And peep those new girls.

And YESS, they're giving Ryona that cute bow from the EV opening. Damn, now I have a reason to use her default hair now, That and Ikaruga's updo and Yomi's pigtails.

I hope they'll have like an import feature so we can carry over DLC from EV to this new game. Has any other game in the series allowed this?

Yes. DlC [even Daidouji/Rin] from SV carried over to Bon Apetite since it was literally the same models. Pretty sure there was a save bonus for SK2 if you have a SK burst save.

There was none in EV most likely because it was the first entry for PS4 and they didn't want the Vita version have exclusive bonuses if you had SK/Bon Apetite saves. Of course they were perfectly fine with the PS4 version having exclusive content since they had to push extra hard for that platform.

More likely because the game had new models and everything, so redoing all the dlc outfits would be a hassle. PBS seems to reuse EV's models from the looks of it, so it's possible.

I personally wonder how well this is gonna sell. Before everyone says this will sell extremely well by default because it's like Splatoon let's think about it.

This is a PS4 exclusive this time and it's a ecchi Splatoon esque shooter. It could do OK in Japan, but compared to other SK games?

Handhelds are big in Japan and the departure of the handheld market for this game is a bold move especially for a series that largely relied on the handheld market for their success. It's also a shooter game which is not a very popular genre in Japan compared to the West. Again before someone mentions Splatoon that is different circumstances.

Splatoon was on the Wii U which is/was the most kid friendly console platform [Games like Bayonetta 2 and FExSMT are minority anomalies in the library ] and was very appealing to all age demographics while the SK series primarily fed on the 18-24 otaku demo with a splash of 14-17s. That alone is huge.

Ignore the domestic Japan sales and see how it does on the West you would think that 'shooter' means Joe MLG gamer is gonna latch onto it. Unfortunately this is the era where games like Xtreme 3 get banned because of Western sensitivities so a very ecchi SK game spraying water guns at each other would only appeal a niche audience. At least with EV one could make an argument they are at least fighting with swords and ninja magic. This game specifically said it won't have any of that so it would be closer to Bon Apetite cooking rythmn game aka the worst selling SK game.

Hopefully this does sell well [and doesn't mean they are done with handhelds though because of that common 'it will hold it back' myth] and they can end the streak of their last few games selling bad such as Uppers and such.

It was an odd move but I think we need more details on gameplay first because the game may have been designed in such a way that the Vita hardware couldn't handle the team water gun...combat(?). I feel like Marvelous would have at least considered the idea of a Vita version rather than just make it a PS4 exclusive "just because". I noticed even for online 4 player EV fights the Vita took a serious hit in the frame rate department. Can't imagine what would happen if even more players were online. O_O

Sales wise it's probably not going to do that great and missing a Vita version will result in even lower sales but I have a feeling the budget wasn't very high to begin with so they may make a decent profit (like someone else said they look like directly ported EV models and I swear the one pic looks very similar to the bathhouse stage in EV).

Personally I'm really excited for this. You can never have too many SV games. XD

From what I've seen the graphics are similar to EV but look a lot crisper and solid, I think since the game will revolve around being wet they'll use a similar skin shader to DOA to make it look more lewd in terms of appearance. Like that pic of Homura in game is a lot better than in EV, and Asuka also looks improved too if you look at the pic of her next to Yomi who also looks way better and even seems to have pigtails.

Glad to hear there is a new action game in the works. I hope it's not a Versus, I'd like to go back to the style of the 3DS games for once, and maybe with a badass shonen story full of crazy and scary yoma. And maybe with the new girls too.

As for this shooter, it doesn't really excite me. It's just cute.
