It's just her being a loli, Japanese love stuff like that, some westerners too like me, but I don't like her like that, just for the cuteness factor. Think Lili from Tekken, she's the most popular girl from Tekken and probably one of the most popular in the series, but Tekken(unfortunately) uses Nina as the main first lady of Tekken, and they make the Mishimas overshadow her....she gets alot of costumes and exclusives though to please her fans.(like me.) I think the younger girls in general are just treated on a higher priority than the other characters, may be why the older girls hardly got anything in 5U. Marie will be old news come DOA6, some other trope will be popular by then so expect like a robot girl or eyepatch yanki by then. XD

DOA without ninjas isn't DOA...
I actually like marie rose overall (don't play as her, but really like the design in general), but come on, DOA needs Kasumi and her awful voice, DOA needs all that Ayane sass, that Hayate Jobbing as hard as ever, and Ryu Hayabusa being the best.
But i really think that phase 4, Marie rose, and Honoka are set ups from team ninja, they are going to play an important role in the next story entry of the series, i'm sure of that.
But without going offtopic too hard.
With all these anime collabs, what collab you guys would like? Like, i know a lot of people, even me, would preffer those to not be a thing, but, what would you like as a dlc pack? I feel that fairy tail was good because it had so much to offer, I guess One Piece would be in a similar boat too.

Not exactly i would say, Kasumi never had any participation on the NG games, and the only game she is playable is somewhat of a blacksheep of the series and she doesn't even appear officialy. Hayate is mentioned once in the NG games, and Ayane is the only DOA character with some importance to the 3d NG games plot, in all 3 main 3d games.
But Kasumi is still the main character of the DOA series, so she isn't going anywhere, and besides, Hayashi seems to really like Kasumi (more than Itagaki one would say), so she is not going anywhere.
