I did the math and gave you the numbers. There was only a 16 frame window he could have actually guaranteed something and he flinched and wasted four of those. Even if he hadn't, how many launchers does Kasumi have that come out in less than that? Two? :7::K: and :8::K: and the latter would have probably been his best option in that scenario though I'm not sure if it would connect since Lisa was so close to the ground and it's a high.

I'll admit that the Kasumi player made some mistakes, shit happens, but the Lisa clearly made more because she was the one hit and stunned. The Kasumi's biggest mistake was thinking that actually meant something.

You'll never change your opinion no matter what so I'll just stop discussing this with you dude. I dunno if you really like the game and are trolling but I seriously think that if you have so many doubts about it you should simply not buy it and be done with it. It not like the 3D version of MvC3 you seem to want is gonna come out anytime soon.

Something i noticed during the stream is that most people are having trouble with reaching the end of a stun threshold to launch because the stupid low counter is always interupting and if you do a mid to hit them low you launch them but you dont get maximum launch since its just a counter strike. I always have trouble with this when playing too. I cant seem to ever fully get to the end of the stun threshold to get a good launch, i either get coutnered or interupted. Any tips on how to mix it up to get a nice max launched. I try mixing it up with low hits but most of my low hits with kasumi trip them and i know i should grab them but i rather get max launch height. Im main with Christie and Kasumi by the way.
It would be funny if they made so that if you low counter that it automatically bring you to the end of your stun threshold and allows you to CB immediately hahahahaha

Missed a lot but caught the last few matches. Expected Lopedo to win but listening to him after he got on the mic he's a pretty cool guy. I didn't have a real opinion of him before but the guy's got my respect. +1

I agree with you. Who the F would want DOA to have MvC damage? Hell no.

...So, can anyone please tell me if any Ayane players were there before the stream got started? Any at all? =(

It's not the damage, it's that some people in the internet (not speaking about grap3 here) want holds-out-of-stun to be removed completely WITHOUT remaking the stun system. If you have unholdable stuns out of 95% of counter-blows then everything would guarantee everything, even PP strings and that would make the game a 3D iteration of Marvel vs Capcom 3.

But that's just it, if you couldn't hold in stun, remaking the stun system itself would(should) be a no-brainer. Could you imagine playing DOA4 and not being able to counter with THAT stun system? I would have never touched DOA.

I'm pretty sure they would want the stun system reworked. Fewer moves stunning and a much smaller stun threshold.

It'd be the exact opposite of DOA4, we'd go from "nothing is guaranteed" to "everything is guaranteed after a stun, and everything stuns". That would have made DOA5 an even more crappy game than DOA4 in high-level play. I stand by my opinion that DOA5 is not perfect but is definitely the best in the series. I understand that some of us, like grap3 are still doubtful, more still when most players in the streams are simply playing DOA4 no matter what characters they choose.

faster CB, less string delay, more safety and frame advantage and a better Helena would make DOA5 pretty much perfect but as of right now, it's a very, very good game in every aspect. That Kasumi vs. Lisa gif is a terrible proof that the stun system is bad.
