Wow @ the two people in this thread basically ordering people that want to discuss the DLC (including critique) to shut the fuck up and to get lost...
Look honey, you can just tag me if you're speaking about me. I don't mind that shit so if you are, just edit it and put @Dark-truth in it. And this isn't critique anymore this is just straight up hating lol. If you complain about every DLC TN releases then it's hating, period.

Apparently, with that reaction, I going to have to say that you do mind lol. Besides, I think that comment was more directed at Xhominid rather than you.

I just finished trying out the new suits for the girls heres some of my observations:
  • so apparently, the girls are wearing underwear rather than bikinis as I first expected, the implications make me feel creeped out if I ever have to fight Gen Fu while using a girl in these outfits
  • the fact that some of the girls wear shoes kinda ruins the outfits for them
  • Mila's wrist band looks really out of place for the outfit, as does Honoka's glove
  • that strawberry on Nyotengu's fork is distractingly large; do strawberries really get that big?
  • purple DOES NOT suit Christie
  • Rachel has a heart tattoo on her right leg; PURCHASE JUSTIFIED
  • this is by far Marie's most revealing outfit and really calls to attention how much smaller her boobs are to the other girls; its kinda distracting
  • I'm going to be spending a lot of time going to watch mode and making Mila and Tina fight each other while alternating having one wear her outfit for this theme while the other wears her bedtime/bathtime outfit imagining they're having a lover's quarrel ;)

Thank you!

Here's a gameplay trailer of all the costumes in action:

I think I'm actually going to buy some of the guys' stuff (Eliot, Brad, Rig, Hayate and Bayman). I wonder if you can have Brad's hair open with this. Yes, that does actually matter to me, since his braid/tail thingy looks so dumb. XD

We have one month to try to guess which SW costume the 30 characters will get. Let's start with the girls (I'm less familiar with the guys from SW).
There are 13 regulars females in SW4-II and we have 16 regular females in DOA.

Ayane/Kunoichi
Kokoro/Oichi
Nyotengu/No
Mila/Nene
Lei Fang/Ina
Tina/Kai
Rachel/Ginchiyo
Kasumi/Lady Hayakawa
Momiji/Okuni
Marie-Rose/Gracia
Helena/Aya
Honoka/Koshosho
Hitomi/Naotora

We're left with Christie and Lisa. Seeing how they are the least popular girls, I can see them getting shitty random costumes from the customization mode...
Phase 4 could be DW's Kiyubi, maybe. But that's a different serie.
I'll try to guess the 14 remaining males later.

Okay, before I start this, I just was to point out how disappointed I am with this DLC pack being full of recolors. However, this is not the worst DLC pack I've ever come across in a DOA game, to be honest.
Yes, it's dumb as all hell that all the women, even Alpha, got the same costume, just recolored between all of them. However, I do see where they come from with those "sexy maid" costumes. "Sexy dress-up" is a huge part of many peoples' Valentine's Day. There are many couples that like to dress up in sexy lingerie and maybe even some sort of cosplay for their significant other on that day. Valentine's Day is a day where you basically "fan service" your boyfriend or girlfriend, so I do not mind us getting a "fan service" DLC pack.

However, when it comes to the guys in this pack.. First of all, where are the bulges? Second, swimwear? What the hell does swimwear have to do with Valentine's Day? I'd be more okay with them getting boxers and briefs instead. At least that would make sense. Well, at least the guys finally got some fan service as well, and I'm honestly happy about that. It's only fair after the countless fan service DLC we've gotten for the women.

What are each girl's distinctive accessory in the Valentine costume ? I know Helena has a necklace, Lisa a bracelet and Phase 4 has stockings & shoes. What about the rest ? I cannot see on the screenshots.

Which funny enough, doesn't stop my point from being true...
You appear to be slipping on what the word "true" means. If there's no objective basis, then you're going to have a tough go at it.

I find this ironic that you come to this accusation because it's frankly not what I said nor implied so you basically pulled that from your own head.
That's not what irony is either.

I pulled your own words. You said you weren't accusing people of not being fans but then said that they are acting more like hecklers than fans. With the implication being that those are mutually exclusive. If they aren't mutually exclusive, then why even bring it up? You are not the arbiter of how a fan should act. Are you saying they should just praise everything that happens in DOA because they are a fan of DOA? I don't think you are. You're just saying that there should be some kind of limit on how "negative" people are being. But, that's not how it works.

I said that I have no problem with people critiquing with the outfits, the point of the matter that if you complained the same way about all the outfits, it's pointless to continue with it when it's pretty much the same thing.
But, I don't feel the same way about all the outfits. And I haven't complained the same way about all the outfits.

If only TN felt the same way about DLC being "pointless to continue with it when it's pretty much the same thing". Har har har.

I.E. If you pretty much hated every costume that has come out(or in your case, you don't plan on buying anymore), what's the point in critiquing it then?
To engage with the people here on the forum. To vent. For the lulz. Take your pick.

You are going to be negative all the time or just plain on not buying it at all whatsoever so you are pretty much going in fully expecting to hate it and there you go
I wasn't going in fully expecting to hate it. That's a bad assumption. Once again, various people in this thread have dictated terms on what they would like to see. If it falls within that range, you'd expect them not to be negative. Hell, some people had "hope". I thought this would be a primo opportunity to bring back Ryu's and Hayate's tuxes from DOAD. But, alas, it was not to be.

At any rate, to say that because you were negative about a certain costume pack, you are therefore barred from being negative for X amount of costume packs going forward to avoid being negative "all the time" is dumb. People like what they like and they don't like what they don't. Yeah, you're fine with people "critiquing" the outfits...as long as they don't cross some arbitrary line of yours. So, you got some percentages or something on how much complaining people should be allowed to do before they say something nice? At least, you could let us know what we're working with here.

It's like your hate with Honoka, you honestly expect people to listen to you if it came down to how well she plays? You are going to be accused of bias and becomes pointless to listen to.
What are you even talking about? If I can back up my statements with data, then I would indeed expect people to listen. When was the last time I even talked about Honoka anyway? Does she play well? Last time I was paying attention, she wasn't great. Has that changed? Should I be keeping a pocket Honoka somewhere to spring on people?

The bottom line is people are going to say whatever they want (within the guidelines of the forum's TOS). This is not the Throw Positive Vibes At Team Ninja thread. Why do we have people pulling elementary school "if you have nothing nice to say, don't say it all" nonsense? People are not complaining about "everything Team Ninja does". That's just hyperbole to score points that no one is actually counting. And everyone isn't being only negative about the costumes. They're not. For example, I'm glad the guys actually have some kind of swimwear now to match the 15+ ones the women have. And I really did mention that before now. Others did as well. And there are other elements of praise sprinkled throughout the thread. What are you talking about there's no point in coming here? Balderdash.

If you're so anti-negativity, instead of employing negative reinforcement, like chewing people out for hating on stuff, try some positive reinforcement and engage with people about possible aspects that they do like.

Tina has a garter around her leg, Mila has a wrist band, Rachel has a heart tattoo on her right leg and earrings, Honoka has her glove and stockings, Marie has a necklace, Christie has earrings, Nyotengu has shoes and a fork with a (very) large strawberry dipped in chocolate. Thats as much as I noticed so far

Fuck now I have to buy mil as. Just out principle because years ago I complained that if they're going to do all these bikinis they might as well have a straight bra and panty set, especially with how much detail they put into the underwear.

That said I still wish I could play mila in her default underwear sets (the sports underwear, the black and white checkered set, the pink bee set, and the plain black).

Been gone for a few days. Came back to another unsurprisingly shit costume pack. By far the worst one this season. Like I said about these generic gimmick packs: Russian Roulette. At least a collab has a better chance to turn out decent overall.

Problem with the collab, is that with 30 costumes, the quality of the textures is going to be terrible, especially if they are taken directly from SW. :/

This is one of the worst costume packs ever released for this game.

Lol at Raidous, its just his C2 without the toga shirt thing and the pants.
