Nothing gets you hate online like playing one of the ninja. I have literally been on the receiving end of every juvenile insult I can think of. My personal favorite of them all was this one; "Kasumi is pretty much the face of DOA. You're stupid if you don't think she has extra, hidden perks especially since she's the creator's favorite."

I swear I could literally FEEL the hope leave my body when I heard this.

Some people have the wildest imagination especially when kasumi has alot of moves that are easy to punish and read >_<

These people think i hacked this game in 3 days. I can't find any of the players that i played with on PS3 so i just make my own lobbies in the hope that some people who knew me from PS3 would join. Because I've seen none of those players im stuck fighting "new" players. And they acuse me of being a modder. I'm going back to PS3 for the time being.

That's nothing - try using a wrestler and being aggressive with offensive holds on unsuspecting opponents.

I don't know man it looks like someone in that lobby was using some kind of mod(s) because in that screenshot the word gay is not censored, one could say that it's in a different region but the word filter even censors expletives/slurs in non-English languages so that wouldn't seem to be the case.

Good point. I've seen people flip the hell out when they get beaten by someone who is good with offensive holds. That and someone who actually KNOWS how to throw punish a character. "Spamming grabs" as some call it raises the sodium levels to critical lol.

It's just sad that throwing has a greater stigma in the online scrub community than combos, or 'juggling'.

I mean, if you get comboed to death, they straight-up outplayed you. If they throw, you take much less damage 9/10 times and typically have a chance to break it (DOA being the sole exception, AFAIK).

Of course we all know that throws in general is the greatest sin in scrub doctrine followed by using turtling when you have a lead in health and there's 20 seconds or less left.

You didn't get the memo? The anti-throw scrub community has literally ran the fighting game community for years now. Why else do you think that DOA is the only relevant fighting game left that offers universal (across all characters) guaranteed throw completions/damage and has one of the smallest (but growing) player bases?

Point made. I come from a SC online background, so I guess I was too used to it.

Reminds me of a time playing SC5. In a lobby fighting a 'Rugi with my Patroklos, and I use a few throws because I can. He doesn't break them, and bitches at me about throws not being legitimate. I give him the usual "It's universal tech. It's legit.", and he gets bitchy. Next time I get to fight him, I get to a 2-1 lead on him and he throws me to make it 2-2. In the last round, he tries an unblockable, and in my absolute surprise I don't freeze up, step it, and throw him back. He rage quits.
