Konoha is a great original design and a wonderful addition to the DOA cast.

Like her if you want. But, don't sit here and try to claim she's some amazing, original design. I must have seen at least 6 other random anime school girls in the past week via posters and advertisements and such that basically look just like her.

If she manages to differentiate herself via fighting style and personality, then...okay. But, design? Nah. It's a frickin' pink-haired, busty, Japanese school girl with "absolute territory" school uniform skirt and thigh-socks. Yeah... They really sacrificed all the creative brain cells for this one. </sarcasm>

And here we go...XD You can't make out anything on that pic, except that she is obviously a girl and that she has pink hair, but of course she's already the most beautiful of the cast... >.>

My only complaint based on the few conclusions that I can get so far, is that I would have liked a more crazy fashion for the character. But anyway, Lucky Chloe is definitely a singular character under that matter and we saw what were the reactions of the Western fans (or you love her, or you hate her), so maybe it's really better to get a Japanese character with a more ordinary look... An Indifference scenario for a more neutral outcome it's not always the worst thing.

By the way I challenge everyone to say that it's not original that she is partnering with Raidou, this is truly the last thing that I was expecting!

Well I'm not here to defend anyone. But as someone can tell that she's basic, ugly, etc. one can tell that he finds her more beautiful than Kasumi. I don't see anything wrong in that.

Based on this, there's a love-hate relationship between Salad and Hitomi. I think a tag throw and pose is pretty much confirmed.

Saudi chicks ain't gonna move fetish DLC... People are just gonna have to embrace the fact that DOA is now about whatever can be exploited. If you want diverse cast there's SF and Tekken. If you want next level boob physics and cute animu girls there's DOA (although Harada is making advances lol)

I don't have anything to say about the design, but I was hoping this thread wouldn't go down the old "how dare they not make this character look, talk, fight, have the same number of nose hair as the perfect, idealized figure I have in mind, burn it" route.

I was honestly expecting a pirate default outfit, but I see we get generic schoolgirl instead. Just waiting for that official trailer now

Everyone has their own opinions, I read continually things that I disagree with but not for this reason I consider it a problem. (long life to Irene! XD)

It's right to say what are their own thoughts (having clear that related to the new character so far will be necessarily based on a partial picture of her, both positive or negative judgements), however it would be better avoid to purely "opinate on the opinions": everyone has naturally different tastes and preferences no better or worse than others' ones.

And anyway I agree with you, for the sake of variety I would have liked to get a character of another nationality as for example Korean, I believe that it was possible to do it with this new character without changing something of her design (and maybe neither background). After all the same Lucky Chloe was confirmed to not be Japanese.

she has that..."Kokoro" quality, where you wouldn't be able to pick her out in a crowd. Very bland, standard design.

Korea does the "schoolgirl" thing just as well as Japan. Just change the name and it'd be good. lol

But even that small, insignificant change would work wonders, really.

I believe that Honoka's profile mentioned she was a "Skullgirl", if she plays in a completely unique way like the characters from the fighting game "Skullgirls" then I'm interested. I doubt it, but I'll wait for the trailer.
