Whatever the new content is, probably gonna blow.

I honestly wonder if there would have been so many non tengu players on the Nyo bandwagon if she didn't lick her lips in that initial trailer.
Meh. I prefer her other winpose, reminds me of the traditional Tengu Dance, also Bankotsubo chanting in the BG is a great homage to the OG Tengu

i really hope they buff rachel, she needs a decents guardbreak
make her 66k +3 plz

ps: nerf ayane's 4p make it stop being bullshit

So +8?

Rachel needs some buffs. Her move-set is astonishingly predictable. But you should watch Gehaktbal's Rachel sometime.

DOAW got that many views in half the time in their main thread. I wish strategy got a little bit more attention, because that's what's supposed to separate DOAW (beginners + fans) from FSD (tournament level + hardcore).

Game should take the BB approach for gameplay balance. Nerf everyone to the ground and just wing it afterwards. #BasedMori

You want to know why her move list is astonishingly predictable? Her mix-up is fast for a heavy, but you can see it coming a mile away. Anytime after doing PP from P string she is fucked because if you fuzzy guard you will also likely dodge the low (OR high kick) if that's used instead, 3P is easy to parry, she has TWO options from her awesome looking, but shit side-step, her kicks are pretty much limited to mids, and we've seen all she has to offer 1,000 times over (unlike your character who has something new to find every day). So her best mix-up is the one you see Gehaktbal use at RoF3, and Sweet Revenge responded by not even using Genfu.

If you want to compare her to Leon (since for whatever reason that's what most people do) she wins. Why? Because Leon sucks. Why does Leon suck? He has insane throw damage that Rachel DOESN'T have. Every move he has might be a mid, but who cares when your opponent only needs to hold once.

too bad DOAW is dead now.

FSD feels more like a hybrid of Casual and Competitive players. If people want to level up their play, or ask questions no one is stopping them, there are tutorials and breakdowns for most of the characters made easy to find.
I don't want the community to be separate anymore, both sides love and support the game so there's really no point in
segregation.

I'll give you the fans part but how are beginners supposed to get better if they don't come here to ask questions and learn more about the game? I consider FSD to be the more serious site focused on gameplay and leveling up, not quite a site just for "tournament level + hardcore" but that's just me

By the way if beginners are supposed to be at DOAW and tournament level players are supposed to be at FSD, where are intermediate people supposed to go?

Ein is linear just like Rachel but doesn't have a saving grace to cheese matches as easily as her. Both characters should get another deep look though. Give them some more bloody useful moves would be a good start.

DOAW isn't dead, it's just waiting for the next release. Which is why it's a fan site. Fan sites are popular near a release window, and most beginners go their because fans of games generally aren't great at the game they are playing.

*sigh hang me*

DOAW (beginners/fans) FSD (tournaments/intermediate and hardcore)

I think that DOAW is a great site. When I was beginner it was the place I chose to go, along with lots of other people. It's not better than FSD, but it's still a big part of the DOA community overall.

I was a member of DOAW before i was a member here but didn't go on much. Besides having a long conversation the whole night with someone when doa5 vanilla was soon to be released.

Well in general, Rachel needs more moves : more violent slaps that stun and a crotch kick that confuse.
And they should elaborate (or remove) that rollthrough, it's too gimmicky.
