~ Honestly, if people complain about MR I'll be surprised. She seems perfectly fine. ( coming from somebody who has literally been religiously watching every video several times, gone over her frames & watched that move list video 50 billion times. )
To me, from what I've seen she lacks general mix ups but compensates for that through stance cancels and a command SS. I don't think she'll be broken, but I feel in the right hands she could be pretty deadly. And the players who will excel with her imo will be those who have a defensive play style. I see her becoming stupidly predictable in the hands of people who are so used to being on the offensive.
I guess time will tell though ;P

this is why i'm chuckling to myself when my friend says he can't wait to main her against me lol. He's a rushdown player.
that said, while it is my playstyle, I just don't like any of her outfits enough to use her myself. I need to like both the aesthetics and mechanics of a character, to use them.

I was actually thinking about that after words. Reminds me of Candy Cane from Rumble Roses. Only with less cool hair. (i'm not a big fan of the sailor moon hairstyle).
If I did get her, that'd be the outfit. Hopefully there's some black panty option so I dont hafta get uncomfortable seeing like, strawberry print panties when the skirt flies up.

what I really hope, is that there's an option to lose the pigtails. Either just long hair, even get a short hairstyle.
AAAANd I just realized I can have a tag team of two brawler schoolgirls with mila and mary. If tag weren't a total joke of a mode, I'd be excited about that thought.

I'm thinking a shorter hairstyle like the blond girl in these pics. (I'm not answering any questions about whats GOING ON in these pics, just that this series was so hysterical I was laughing my ass off on almost every page.)
The brunette with the two bun knots, that hairstyle may work as well.
Also I can't help but think that the last image encapsulates the DOA fandom to some degree lol.

Long, open hair like that, without it being a clipping and animation mess, just isn't possible with the console power of the last generation of consoles. Most of all in a fighter, where the character moves like crazy. And short hair...I don't know... it's Marie Rose's special feature to have such long, blond pigtails. Why remove that?
I wonder, how far they'll come with animating hair and clothing in DOA6. It might be either absolutely amazing...or quite the same old. So far the next generation of consoles was kinda disappointing regarding graphics...

The hair still clips in DOA5U so it wouldn't entirely matter. Everyone's hair clips, the only hair clipping that bothers me is Kasumi in her Gracia costume... now that is a clipping mess. It's just constantly there... least if Marie had loose hair it would really only clip on her sabaki & BT kkk but yeah... they could make it work- but I doubt it. She's probably going to be like Rachel- hair long enough to be loose, but they don't do anything with it.
Her hair options seem to be similar to Ayane's though, you can have the longer ribbons, normal hair ties or the maid cap...
